Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as Liverpool, are keeping tabs on Benfica’s Anderson Talisca, as reported in the Mirror.
The Brazilian only arrived in Portugal this summer, and has hit the ground running with six goals in his first seven games for the club, a record for any foreigner arriving in the country, despite playing as a midfielder.
The 20 year-old scored the first goal in the weekend’s 4-0 win over Arouca, with Liverpool and Arsenal’s scouts thought to watching. The youngster had a couple of long-range efforts go close to opening the scoring in the first-half, before breaking the deadlock entering the last 15 minutes of the game.
The attacking playmaker has a £18 Million release clause in his contract, and is unlikely to be available for any less than that. He joined Benfica for £3 Million two months ago, and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho claimed he had tried to sign the former Bahia star previously but failed due to work permit regulations.
