Arsenal are readying a deal to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi from Paris Saint-Germain this winter, the Telegraph claims.
The Argentine forward has fallen down the pecking order in France in recent seasons, with Angel Di Maria arriving to limit his opportunities further this summer.
Lavezzi is heavily expected to leave the club over the next two transfer windows, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Despite being able to talk to European clubs from January about a potential free transfer in the summer, Arsenal are said to be keen on a cut-price deal in the coming window instead.
Liverpool and Barcelona have also been linked with an interest in the 30 year-old, with the latter having been reported to have agreed a deal already, which appears to be a fiction.
The Gunners failed to bring in a single outfield player in the previous window, and are likely to rectify their failings in the new year.
