Arsenal could be set to miss out on signing Southampton’s Victor Wanyama, with the club having failed to agree a deal for his replacement, according to the Express.
The Saints are claimed to have had an offer of £12.7 Million for Stefano Sturaro rejected by Juventus.
The 22 year-old is said to have been lined up to replace the highly-coveted Victor Wanyama, who is a target for Premier League leaders Arsenal.
The Gunners have been eager to bring in some midfield options this month, having lost a number of players to injury in recent months, and with Francis Coquelin currently sidelined.
Arsenal may now have to miss out on the Kenyan international, who Tottenham are also linked with an interest in.
The Emirates club also appear to be struggling to complete a deal for Basel’s Mohamed Elneny, with obtaining a work permit proving to be complicated.
The North-London side are also linked with the capture of Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain, although his club are believed to be keen on keeping their young midfielder.
