Arsenal are ready to attempt to lure West Ham youth defender Reece Oxford to the Emirates, according to the Express.
The 15 year-old has made six appearances for West Ham’s U21 side this season, and Arsene Wenger is said to have sent scouts to watch the youngster on Monday, where he helped his U21 side to keep a clean sheet in their 2-0 win.
The wonderkid captained the England U17 side in this summers Nordic Under-17 tournament, where the young English Lions ended up finishing fourth.
Reece is said to be considering a long-term pre-contract offer by current parent club West Ham, but with the likes of Arsenal considering holding talks, the Hammers may lose out.
Players are not allowed to sign professional contracts until they turn 16, but can arrange a pre-agreement that will commence on their birthday.
The youngster has been selected on West Ham’s senior bench for cup ties previously, but is yet to make his senior debut.
Manchester United and Chelsea are both said to be monitoring his situation also.
