Arsenal have had goalkeeper Petr Cech ruled out for the next three to four weeks, with four tough away fixtures in that time.
The Czech international has been a key figure since making the switch from rivals Chelsea, but will now not be available for a tough month, which could all but end their season.
Cech will miss the second leg of the Champions League encounter with Barcelona, as well as the replay in the FA Cup against Hull City, which could see the club eliminated from two cup competitions.
The 33 year-old is also unavailable for the upcoming fixture with neighbours Tottenham, and a loss at White Hart Lane on Saturday could see them fall six points behind their close rivals, and a possible nine points behind top of the league Leicester City.
Cech is also expected to miss the trip to Everton, as well as possible home ties in the league with Watford and West Bromwich Albion.
