Chelsea are set to complete a deal to sign Alexandre Pato from Corinthians this month, the Star reports.
The Brazilian has been eager to return to Europe this month, having enjoyed a return to form over the past few years.
Pato was highly rated on the continent previously, even earning the prestigious Golden Boy Award in 2009, while impressing with AC Milan.
The forward suffered a number of injuries while in Italy however, and dropped down the pecking order, before returning to his homeland on an initial loan deal.
Pato was spotted at Stamford Bridge last month, amidst strong links with Premier League giants Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, and he is now reported to be closing on a switch to Chelsea.
The Blues haver struggled so far this season, and are believed to be active this month in hope of kick starting their campaign.
Pato would be joining to rival fellow strikers Loic Remy, Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao, with the latter missing with injury currently.
