Chelsea are claimed in the Express as having launched an offer of £45 Million for Everton’s John Stones.
The defender was the subject of three bids by the Premier League champions back in the summer, and the club have now returned with a new move for his signature this month.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been linked with moves, and it is yet to be seen whether any of the trio will rival the offer from Chelsea.
Stones attempted to force through his move to West-London before the previous transfer window closed, but his transfer request was turned down by the Merseyside club, and he was forced to stay put.
Chelsea have enjoyed a torrid campaign so far this season, and are believed to be desperate to bolster their squad in an attempt to ignite their year, with the team sat way down 14th position, 13 points behind the all-important fourth Champions League qualifying spot.
