The Europa League draw is now complete, with Tottenham getting a tough tie with Serie A’s Fiorentina, while Manchester United and Liverpool wont mind their fixtures.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will most likely welcome the return to Germany, where he will lead his side to take on Augsburg, who have struggled so far this season.
Man United will also be happy, having drawn FC Midtjylland, who currently sit third in the Danish Superliga, which is at the beginning of a winter break.
The Danish side’s next competitive fixture from now will be the tie with United, which can only go in the favour of the Red Devils.
Tottenham look to have been given the toughest match-up, with Fiorentina, who currently sit in second-place in the Italian first division.
The Europa League is no longer the belittled trophy which is once was, with the winner granted a place in next season’s Champions League something each club will be keen to secure, as well as giving their country a chance of having an extra place for the elite European competition.
