England v Slovakia – Wholesale changes expected with Spurs to be benched

England play against Slovakia tonight in their final group game, and are expected to make a number of changes for the match.

England currently top Group B with four points from their opening two match-ups, and are expected to make wholesale changes to their starting line-up tonight, with four points likely to see them through to the next round even if they did drop to fourth place.

Regardless of that, their squad should be more than strong enough to get a result tonight, with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy and Nathaniel Clyne expected to be given their first starts of the tournament.

A win against Slovakia will seal top place for our side, and I will be singing away during the match.

I’ve been getting in the mood to this all day having come across this website which has been playing me all the classic England football songs.

Kyle Walker is set to be rested tonight, alongside fellow Spurs team-mates Danny Rose, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, with Eric Dier the only Tottenham man expected to retain his starting role.

Wayne Rooney is also set to be dropped to the bench to give some others a run out tonight, allowing Gary Cahill to wear the captains armband.

Wales also feature tonight where they will take on Russia at the same time as the other match, and should they avoid defeat, they will more than likely qualify for the next round, while a win would guarantee such an event.

A loss on the other hand see them drop to bottom of the group, and be eliminated from the tournament.

Are we confident that England and Wales will secure wins tonight despite the changes to the Lions squad?
