Tom Ince has still not made up his mind on a move to Inter Milan and there could still be an opportunity for interested Premier League clubs to sign him.
Ince has travelled to Milan to have talks with Inter and have a look at the facilities and the city where he spent part of his childhood when his father Paul represented the club. Despite the allure of Inter however, Ince feels a similar pull from the Premier League where he feels he has ‘unfinished business’.
Ince told Sky Sports News, “It’s a tough decision and one that I am very fortunate to have. I’ve been around here [at Inter] and the interest they have shown me is flattering. I’ve got a lot of thinking to do.
“I feel there’s uncertainty about the Premier League but I’ve got unfinished business there. I don’t think people have seen what I can do yet in the Premier League.”
Ince has only made 8 appearances in the Premier League so far, having made his name in the Championship with Blackpool and earned himself a short term move to the top flight with Crystal Palace in January this year.
Ince scored and assisted a goal for a team mate in his first game for Palace, but didn’t have the same level of impact thereafter. It’s clear that Tom has a burning desire to prove himself in the Premiership at some point in his career, and is simply unsure whether the time for that is now, or whether he should head abroad at the age of just 22.
As it is early in the summer, Ince certainly has time to make up his mind. As an out of contract player he is not suffering from the trauma of not knowing where his next pay cheque will come from, rather he has one extremely good offer on the table and is waiting to see if there will be any more forthcoming.
As his father Paul said, “He’s lucky to have so many clubs home and away that want his services.”
