Everton are claimed to be keen on signing Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic this summer.
The Bosnian international has been playing second-fiddle to Thibaut Courtois this term, and despite joining in the knowledge of being back-up, wants regular football.
Begovic did manage to keep four clean sheets in his 11 league starts for the club in the Belgian’s absence through injury early in the term, but Courtois was immediately reinstalled as number one on his return.
The former Stoke City shotstopper is now claimed to be keen on a move to secure regular first-team action, and Everton are said to be looking to make that happen.
The Merseyside club are expected to lose Tim Howard at the end of the season, and will be hoping to tempt Begovic into replacing him.
