Sunderland boss Gus Poyet doesn’t want a moment’s rest as his team battle through what looks like an intense dog-fight to avoid relegation in the Premier League. The Black Cats’ first team coach Charlie Oatway says that the Uruguayan does not take time off from preparation as he wouldn’t allow his players do the same.
Speaking about Poyet’s passion for the club and desire to keep them afloat in the Premier League, Oatway said, “I do tell him to take a day off. But he sees it as him and the players in this together. If he doesn’t want them to have a round of golf, then he won’t have one himself. I said to him the other day, ‘Go and play nine holes and relax’. But he won’t because he won’t let them do it.”
