Crystal Palace and Leicester City are to race for the signature of Zdravko Kuzmanovic, reports talkSPORT. The Serb has been shafted out of his Serie A club and is eyeing a move to the English top flight in order to bolster his personal career prospects.
Kuzmanovic operates as a midfielder, and he joined Milan in January 2013 after a transfer from Stuttgart. However, having made just 21 league appearances in the last 18 months, the player is now set to leave the club in search of a fresh start.
Palace and Leicester are hoping that Kuzmanovic will be tempted by a move to England, as both clubs look to equip their squads with the players who can help them avoid relegation. At 26 years old, Kuzmanovic still has his peak years as a footballer laid out ahead of him, but he also has a very attractive amount of experience as well.
The player is believed to be holding talks with Milan this week in order to settle his departure from the San Siro, after which he will choose one of the two English clubs. Newly Promoted Leicester are likely to offer him regular first-team football as they get to grips with life back in the highest tier, and managerless Palace are looking to build a core group of players despite ongoing difficulties in finding a new boss.
