Jamie Vardy and Arsene Wenger are named the Premier League best player and manager for October respectively. Wenger’s Arsenal are currently at the second spot on the league table while Leicester City have continued their impressive league form as they are now a point ahead of Van Gaal’s United and are third on the Premier League table.
The England international, Jamie Vardy, certainly deserves the recognition for Leicester’s brilliant run in the league so far after 12 games. The 28-year-old scored five goals in four games for Leicester last month, thereby helping the Foxes to three wins out of four.
Vardy has been in scintillating form this season and has scored 12 goals in as many games and is very close to breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in ten consecutive matches.
Leicester take on Newcastle on November 21 after the international break. Vardy is currently the top goal scorer in the league with 12 goals and his closest competitors – Ighalo, Lukaku and teammate Mahrez are five goals behind him at 7 goals.
