Chelsea could be set to send Alexandre Pato back to Corinthians before his loan expires, following a lack of first-team outings since joining.
The Brazilian moved to the club on a temporary deal in January, in hope of securing a permanent return to Europe in the summer, but the plan seems to be hindered at present.
Pato is yet to make his debut for Chelsea, although it was known that he would need time to get out of pre-season mode on his arrival.
Despite making the bench on two occasions, the former Golden Boy winner was overlooked in favour of other emerging players, including Kenedy and Bertrand Traore.
The forward could now be set for a return to Corinthians before their season starts in May, with a permanent Chelsea deal looking unlikely.
