Surprising reports are emerging from Italy that Jose Mourinho has agreed to become Louis Van Gaal’s successor at Manchester United, according to StarSport.
The Chelsea manager has come under intense scrutiny this season, having succumbed to seven losses in his opening 12 league matches, following a title-winning campaign in which he only suffered defeat on three occasions.
Mourinho has been favourite to be the next manager sacked for the majority of the campaign, but is out to around 3/1 currrently, with Roman Abramovich expected to be keen on offering him more time to turn their season around.
Now shocking reports are now claiming that the Portuguese has agreed to join Man United at the end of next season, when LVG’s current deal expires.
The experienced Dutchman has previously stated he would retire at the end of his current deal, and Mourinho has long-been tipped as the long-term successor to Sir Alex Ferguson.
