Leeds Utd fancied not to finish top six in next seasons Championship

Despite being one of the top ten most supported club in England, it would appear that Leeds United isn’t doing justice to it’s fans’ largesse at least in so far as expectations from the clubs are concerned.

After finishing an abysmal 13th in the just concluded Championship season 2012-13, the Whites aren’t favoured to finish in the top 6 next season either. According to SkyBet, the best bet for the club is to finish between the 7th and 12th positions at odds of 2.88, while the second most likely outcome is between the 13th and 17th position at odds of 3.25. A top six finish looks rather unlikely though with a top 2 berth carrying odds of 9, while a finish in the play-off berths has odds of 4.50.

While Leeds United has 3 previous first division crowns, it would take a herculean effort for them to appear in the Premier League again any time soon. And the fans of the clubs will no doubt be praying for a miracle to drag them out of the state of mediocrity they are in at present and return them to their rightful place amongst England’s elite.

  3. WHAT THE FCK RU ON ABOUT… WHAT A LOAD OF PIGS TROLLOPS !! MOT COCKNEY BY SOUNDS OF IT !!!

  4. That lack of understanding about the current status of Leeds United is exactly why I have placed bets on them to win the Champ title and for promotion…great odds. With youth coming through at EllandRoad, a pretty good backline including two England under 21 internationals and the feel good factor returning with Brian MC I think Leeds will definately be a force next season. With another quality winger and perhaps a centre back I would expect us to be challenging this season.

The fans are returning and ER will be a fortress again so it will be away from home that Leeds need to pick up extra points

  5. No point starting the season then. It’s clearly already been decided. This is our year MOT

  6. Hmmm,I wonder what the odds were on Crystal Palace getting promoted last season before a ball was kicked in anger? Or on Watford to come so close? As far as I can recall, the favourites last season included sides like Leicester City (spending power) and the 3 teams who came down (and look what happened to Wolves!). Being fancied by the bookies counts for nothing. What is important is that at long last we have the right manager and he is here for the long haul, plus no more Bates strangling our hopes before the season even begins. With a few more signings and the quality of the kids coming through now plus a manager with tactical nous and motivational skills, we won’t be too afar away. Bring it on! MOT

  7. Couldn’t of said it better myself
