Liverpool and Man City heavily boosted as German international wonderkid requests move

The Metro claims that Leroy Sane has told Schalke that he wants to leave the club.

The midfielder, who turned 20 yesterday, has been impressing for the Bundesliga side since earning a chance in their first-team in March.

Sane took the chance with both hands, scoring on his full league debut, and is now credited with seven league goals for his club.

The youngster’s form has not gone unnoticed by Germany coach Joachim Low, who called him up for the recent friendly with France, where he played the final 30 minutes of the match.

Manchester City and Liverpool have also stood up and taken notice, although the latter are believed to be most keen, with manager Jurgen Klopp having seen the youngster first-hand from his time with Borussia Dortmund last term.

There has also been a possible boost in his reported release clause, which has now been claimed to be as low as £27.7 Million, £13.4 Million cheaper than had been previously claimed.
