Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy is reported in the Metro as having attracted the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The 28 year-old was playing football non-league football only four years ago, and is now a regular in the England international side, and is top of the goalscoring charts in the Premier League.
Vardy provides a true rags-to-riches story, and is now being lined up for a further move up the ladder.
Liverpool and Tottenham are apparently looking to battle it out for his signature, and reports in Spain are claiming Real Madrid could potentially make a move.
Karim Benzema is the club’s first-choice striker, but the club are believed to view the Leicester City frontman as the ideal back-up, being impressed by his tremendous form.
Vardy has scored 10 goals in the opening 10 league fixtures, scoring in the last seven consecutive matches in the PL.
The Foxes will certainly be keen to keep a hold of their in-form star, with hopes of a European place at the end of the term, but could be tempted to cash-in on the player the signed for only £1 Million back in 2012.
