Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze has talked up his relationship with now Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, the Express reports.
The 23 year-old worked under the new Reds manager whilst with Borussia Dortmund previously, and refused to play down linking up with him in the near future.
“I know Klopp really well, our cooperation was outstanding,” Gotze told German newspaperBild. “He is definitely a very good coach.”
Gotze is currently out injured until February, which looks to have ended any hope of his arrival this month, but a move appears to be on the cards for the end of the season.
The German international will be entering the final year of his current contract this summer, and having struggled to feature heavily this term, could be open to the switch.
Pep Guardiola has agreed to step down from his role as Bayern coach next term, with Carlo Ancelotti announced as his successor, and a potential deal could be up to the incoming Italian manager.
