The Metro is claiming that Liverpool have tabled an offer to sign Leroy Sane from Schalke.
The winger has been heavily linked with a move this season, having emerged as one of the brightest talents in the Bundesliga.
Arsenal and Manchester United have already been linked with a move for his signature, but it is Liverpool who are said to have made an offer to sign him in January.
German boss Jurgen Klopp recently took over the manager’s job at Anfield, and is claimed to have returned to his home country to try and bring in an upcoming star.
Sane is currently playing for the German Under-21 side, who are leading Austria Under-21 by two goals to one.
He could be set to move to England in the New Year however, with a possible link up with Barcelona’s Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, who is believed to be high on the wishlist of Klopp.
