Former Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar has revealed that Jurgen Klopp is prioritising the arrival of a new goalkeeper, the DailyStar reports.
The Anfield club hired German boss Klopp last month, and he is believed to be looking forward to his first transfer window since joining his new club.
Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet has come under scrutiny a number of times since making his own move to Merseyside, back in 2013.
The Belgian is now set to be displaced from his starting role by a new signing in January, with Grobbelaar claiming Klopp has two targets being watched in the Bundesliga.
The Kop legend said: ‘I think he is looking at it [buying a replacement].
‘There are a couple of goalkeepers in the German league that he is looking at so I can see that might be one of his first signings.’
The Reds have been linked with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen of Barcelona, but one of the Bundesliga targets is likely to be Timo Horn, who has been starring for FC Koln.
The 22 year-old has played at each youth level for Germany previously, but is yet to earn a place in their senior squad.
