Liverpool are looking at making a move to sign Domenic Berardi from Sassuolo in January, the Express claims.
The 21 year-old has scored 44 league goals in his career so far, with 33 of those coming in the top Italian division for Sassuolo.
Berardi was previously under joint-ownership with Juventus, before the Italian champions agreed to sell their share in the goalscorer, but made sure to include a buy-back clause in the deal, said to be £13 Million.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are all credited with an interest in the Italy Under-21 star, with the latter claimed to be looking to land a deal for his signature in January.
Sassuolo are believed reluctant to sell their asset, but the player could be tempted by the wages on offer in the Premier League, and the offer of European football.
The Reds may struggle to land their target however, with the strikers at Juve’s disposal failing to hit top gear, and could take up their option to sign Berardi.
