Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign Marco Reus for his new club from former side Borussia Dortmund, the Mirror reports.
The German international has been heavily linked with a move away from his club in recent seasons, with Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona all said to be interested.
Liverpool are now said to be eyeing a move, and their owner John W. Henry has previously tweeted his want to capture the exciting winger.
Reus has scored seven goals so far this season, with four of those coming in the Europa League, although he has only scored once since August.
The German signed a new contract with the Bundesliga club earlier in 2015, which ties him down until 2019, which means the likelihood of persuading Dortmund to sell could prove unlikely.
If the player should ask to leave in order to join up with Klopp in Liverpool, then the club could be forced to reconsider their stance.
