The DailyStar is claiming that Liverpool are ready to make an £11 Million bid to sign Alexandre Pato this month.
The Brazilian has admitted hope of securing a return to Europe this month, having returned to form since playing back in his homeland.
The former AC Milan forward was highly-rated on the continent previously, earning the Golden Boy award in 2009, but went onto suffer a number of injuries which ultimately forced him to consider an exit.
Pato has smashed his way back to form with 28 goals in all competitions in 2015, and was believed to have attracted interest from Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Speculation had appeared to be slowing, despite him being spotted at Stamford Bridge last month, but Liverpool now look like they are willing to take the risk of buying the forward.
Pato is still only 26, and if he could stay fit, as well as continue his refound form, then the £11 Million fee could prove to be a bargain.
Liverpool took the plunge by signing Mario Balotelli when their appeared to be no other options 18 months ago, and we all know that the risk failed to pay off that time.
I think Pato could prove to be a much more positive signing however, if they manage to complete the deal that is.
