Liverpool are expected to revive their interest in Barcelona’s on-loan midfielder Alex Song, who has been impressing for Premier League rivals West Ham, as claimed in the Metro.
Liverpool were linked with the midfielder before he completed his loan move to West Ham, and look set to vie for his signature with the Hammers thought to be keen on a permanent deal.
The Reds are rumoured to want the Cameroon international’s loan cut short in order to make the move to Anfield, and Barce are thought to be keen to sell, and would appear likely to accept such a request.
With Barcelona currently under a transfer-ban and unable to sign any new players until 2015, they will most likely be keen to keep hold of the majority of their squad, but Song is deemed surplus to requirements and has already been forced out on loan.
The defensive midfielder is under contract with the Catalan club until 2017, having signed from Arsenal for £16 Million back in 2012.
