Manchester City new boy Bruno Zuculini is set to spend his first season on the books at the Etihad, playing football elsewhere, reports talkSPORT. The midfielder is set to join Deportivo La Coruna on a season-long loan in order to gain more first team opportunities next year.
The Spanish side have been recently promoted back into La Liga, and so Zuculini will be plying his trade amongst some of Europe’s most significant footballing powers. Despite signing him at an earlier point this summer, Pellegrini is thought to have decided that the player will not receive the necessary game time should he stay on the blue half of Manchester.
As a result, the 21 year old Argentine player is headed to Spain, with Valencia also recording an interest in him. Having signed for City from the Argentine side Racing, he is seen as an exciting player for the Sky Blues’ future, rather than a feature of their immediate plans.
That being said, Zuculini has already made his competitive debut for City. He featured in the Citizens’ three-nil loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley. Last weekend Pellegrini’s side were convincingly beaten by the Gunners in the English season’s curtain-raiser, as Zuculini proved incapable of having a positive impact upon the game, during the 30 minutes that he was on the field.
