Man City ready to let youngster go in January without demanding a fee

Norwegian under 21 star Abdisalam Ibrahim is scheduled to return to Manchester City in December after his loan spell at Norwegian club Stromsgodset comes to an end. The youngster has been mightily impressive on his return to his homeland, but despite the quality he possesses, City are unlikely to give him an opportunity to break into their first team, and have actually told the youngster that he is free to leave the club in January despite his contract not having yet expired, and that they will allow him to leave without asking for a fee.

Chasing Ibrahim, other than a whole host of top clubs around Europe, is Premier League side Crystal Palace, who look all but certain to head right back to the Championship next season, even at this early stage of the campaign.

It remains to be seen if Ibrahim is willing to take a risk by joining Palace so that he can get some Premier League experience or whether he returns to the continent instead to join a steadier club in either Spain or France.
