Man United and Liverpool set to battle for Serie A prodigy

The Star claims that Manchester United and Liverpool are set to battle it out to sign Roma’s Mirko Antonucci.

The 16 year-old is tipped to be the next big thing to come out of Italy, having impressed for the international Under 17 side.

The winger is under contract until 2017, and with no extension talks lined up, could be tempted to make the move abroad.

Liverpool and Man United are both looking at deals to sign the wonderkid, while Real Madrid are also claimed to be keeping tabs on the young star.

The Reds have already moved to sign two players who are under 20 in this window, with Jurgen Klopp appearing to be keen on building for the future.

The highly-rated Marko Grujic has signed for the club, but would only agree to join if he could complete his season with Red Star Belgrade, having had a boyhood dream of winning the league in with his beloved club.
