Everton are close to completing a deal to sign Oumar Niasse from Lokomotiv Moscow today, the Star claims.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea had all been linked with moves for the Lokomotiv star earlier in the month, but he now looks set to be a Everton player.
The 25 year-old has scored eight goals in his 15 league outings this term, and now looks set to play understudy to Romelu Lukaku for the remainder of the season.
The Senegalese international is claimed to be playing back-up this season, but could also be ready to take over the role should the Belgian striker leave at the end of the term.
Lukaku has been linked with a big-money move away from the club at the end of the season, having scored an impressive 15 league goals in his 15 appearances, with Manchester United tipped as one of the clubs chasing his signature.
Niasse is now in Everton to complete his medical, as shown on Sky Sports News, and a £13.5 Million deal looks certain to be announced in the coming hours.
