Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has refused to rule out a possible deal involving Arjen Robben in January, the Metro reports.
The Red Devils boss has previously stated that he is keen to sign some speedy wingers into his squad, with Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard named as ‘not the fastest’.
United have since been linked with a host of fast-type widemen, and Robben has been one of the strongest linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
The 31 year-old is believed to have fallen out with Robert Lewandowski this term, and is open to making a move away from Bayern Munich.
The former Chelsea FC star has also been claimed to have agreed terms over a winter switch to the Manchester club, and LVG has failed to dismiss the speculation surrounding a deal.
‘If I answer that question, then you are writing [United are trying to sign] Robben,’ he explained.
‘Still I need more balance in my selection.
‘I want that fast wingers and that is a better balance in the team.’
United are said to be willing to pay the Bundesliga champions £49.7 Million valuation for him.
