Man United eyeing £65M attacking pair to reignite title bid

Manchester United are claimed in the DailyStar as eyeing a double bid to sign Sadio Mane and Felipe Anderson this month.

The original story is laughably headlined as a £75 Million double-move, then in the top-line quoted as a £70 Million bid, before the two actual fees totalling a different amount once again!

The report claims that the Red Devils are looking to pay £30 Million up front with a further £5 Million in bonuses for Anderson, with the Brazilian emerging as one of the most talented players in the Italian top division.

Louis Van Gaal is then said to be hoping to pursue a move for £30 Million rated Mane, who was dropped from Southampton’s squad to face Norwich this weekend.

The Saints have previously ruled out the winger’s departure, but an issue with discipline could play into United’s hands this month.

You will of course notice that the two amounts only add up to £65 Million, which makes the story quite hard to believe, although the amounts could prove to be the only falsified part of the story.
