Man United target set to snub club record move to Arsenal

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not join Arsenal, the player is reported in the Express as revealing to the press.

The newly-crowned African Player of the Year for 2015 was said to have been the subject of a £44.6 Million offer by Arsenal, which would have broken the Gunners club record fee paid to sign Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid.

Aubameyang has simply ruled out a move to Arsenal, whilst asserting he will not be leaving his current club in the near future.

He said: “I don’t want to go to Arsenal. I won’t leave Dortmund soon.”

The Gabon international has fired himself into being one of the hottest properties in world football, having gone on an emphatic run of goalscoring this term.

Aubameyang has scored 27 goals already this season, including 18 in his 17 Bundesliga outings, keeping his side within eight points of league leaders Bayern Munich.

Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool have also been linked with moves for the forward’s signature, but his recent comments will likely see him stay with the BVB until at least the summer.
