Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha may soon be provided with a chance to return to his old club Crystal Palace. Reports in The Daily Mirror have revealed new Eagles boss Tony Pulis charting plans of landing the Englishman on loan at Selhurst Park this winter.
Zaha has failed to carve out a permanent place for himself in the Red Devils first team this season, under David Moyes, and is understood to be desperate for a temporary move away from Old Trafford. While that is believed to have incentivised a number of Premier League and Championship sides to showcase an interest in him, none of the sides were reported to have made an approach for him as yet (as revealed by Moyes recently).
It is believed that Moyes will prefer sending the youngster on loan at a top-tier club, rather than letting him leave for a Championship side. Also, with Zaha’s chief other suitor Cardiff City presently without a permanent manager, Palace have become favourites to land they player this winter.
While it may seem too optimistic as of now, Zaha’s performances at Selhurst Park, should he succeed in moving there this winter, may also enable him to be in the reckoning for a place in the England national team ahead of the World Cup.
