Potential Chelsea manager tipped to succeed by Juventus boss

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has tipped Antonio Conte to be a success, should he be confirmed as Chelsea boss for next season.

The Serie A leading boss took over the Old Lady after Conte decided to challenge himself as the Italy international team’s chief, and is full of praise for his predecessor, although he shares it while blowing his own trumpet also.

“Other than a few like Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola, Italian coaches are the best in the world,” Allegri said.

“I don’t know what Conte will do, if he will go to Chelsea or not. But if he does, he will do very well.”

Blues fans are eagerly awaiting to find out who will take over from Guus Hiddink in the summer, while some supporters are holding some reserve in hope of the caretaker manager taking the role on permanently, although that option doesn’t appear to be in the owner’s thoughts.
