Spurs forward Son to stay and fight for PL title

Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-Min is set to stay with the playing squad, despite South Korea having two internationals lined up.

South Korea are said to be willing to allow Son to remain with his club instead of calling him up to play against Lebanon and Thailand, in order for him to try and help his club to win the Premier League title.

Tottenham currently sit two points behind leaders Leicester City, with their rivals set to play against Newcastle United tonight to try and regain their five-point advantage.

Son will remain available for the remainder of the campaign, but the South Koreans are hoping this will convince the North London side to allow the forward to join up with their Olympic squad in the summer, as one of their over 24 players.
