Diego Lopez has revealed that Mario Balotelli is wishing to join Real Madrid in the future, the Metro claims.
The Italian striker was starting to enjoy himself since returning to Serie A on loan this summer, before picking up a groin injury in October, and is yet to recover.
Balotelli has enjoyed mixed seasons in footballing terms, showing huge potential in his early years, before dipping in and out of form since moving to Manchester City back in 2010.
His latest struggles came after returning to the Premier League with Liverpool, where he only managed to bag himself one goal in 16 appearances, before being sent back to Italy on a temporary deal this summer.
Despite his inconsistencies, the former Inter Milan academy product is in want of a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, that is according to former Galactico and current team-mate in Italy, Diego Lopez.
‘Mario isn’t like people paint him out to be,’ Lopez is quoted in Gazzetta dello Sport.
‘He is a nice guy and a good player and you know what? His dream is to play for Real Madrid.’
