West Ham’s Winston Reid is reported in the Metro to have opted to join Liverpool, despite keen interest from Arsenal.
The New-Zealand captain is into the final 12 months of his current deal, and appears unlikely to extend his deal with the club.
The 26 year-old has been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Liverpool, and the defender is now thought to have snubbed the Gunners in order to seal a deal to Anfield.
Liverpool will have to agree a fee with the East-London side, with the Metro claiming a fee of £15 Million will be demanded by the Hammers. I believe however that a fee of under £10 Million would suffice given that the solid centre-back could leave them for free in the summer.
European clubs will be allowed to offer the Hammers defender a contract in January ahead of a proposed move in July, but English clubs would have to wait until the player enters the final month of his current deal.
