Arsenal and Liverpool joined by Spanish giants in red-hot striker chase

Barcelona have joined the race to sign Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in January, the DailyStar claims.

The Gabonese striker has scored an impressive 20 goals in his 18 appearances in all competitions so far this season, a more than outstanding return before the start of November.

Aubameyang is now being linked with moves to a number of top clubs, including both Arsenal and Liverpool, but the pair will not welcome the latest interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Catalan club are said to have sent their top scout to watch the in-form star play against Werder Bremen at the weekend, where he failed to score, although he did notch up consecutive hat-tricks in the two games prior.

The 26 year-old has previously talked about his intention to play in Spain one day, having promised his late-grandfather, who supported Real Madrid, that he would move to a Spanish club one day.

Liverpool and Arsenal could be lucky, and he could refuse to join his grandfather’s team’s main rivals.
