The DailyStar is reporting that Arsenal and Manchester United are eyeing moves to sign James Rodriguez from Real Madrid.
The Colombian broke onto the scene in spectacular fashion during 2014’s World Cup tournament in Brazil, earning a reported €80 Million move from Monaco to Spanish giants Real Madrid that summer.
Rodriguez then carried that form into the season with his side, where he scored and assisted 26 La Liga goals in total.
Despite his impressive previous 12 months, newly installed Rafa Benitez has limited his first-team appearances this term, selecting the 24 year-old to start only five of the club’s 15 Premier Liga matches so far.
The Real star is now said to be unhappy with his lack of playing time, alerting Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea to take note of his situation.
The Red Devils are claimed to be preparing a move at present, as their dismal attacking play continues to prove unworthy.
The Blues have been linked with a spectacular swap deal involving Eden Hazard, but with the recent managerial change happening currently, the club’s transfer plans could be set to change.
