Arsenal keeping tabs on £40M Man United target dubbed ‘new Cristiano Ronaldo’

Arsenal are claimed in the Metro as keeping tabs on Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes, who has been dubbed the ‘new Ronaldo’.

The 18 year-old has had a £40 Million asking price slapped on his head, as his Primeira Liga side look to fend off interest from his potential suitors.

Manchester City and Man United have both been linked with an interest, but it is Arsenal who are having their scouts have a closer look ahead of the January window.

Guedes has featured 12 times in all competitions so far this term, scoring three goals, including the winner against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in their 2-1 win in Spain in late September.

The wonderkid has started in all four of his club’s Champions League group stage matches so far, helping them to sit top of the their group with only two matches to play.

The Red Devils signed Memphis Depay in the summer, who has also been likened to CR7, but the Dutch forward has failed to live up to the name in the Premier League as of yet.
