The Mirror claims that Arsenal are looking to make a move to sign Javier Hernandez in January.
The Mexican only left the Premier League this summer, with Louis Van Gaal said to have given him a 1% chance of appearing for United, as he joined Bayer Leverkusen in a reported £7.3 Million deal.
Hernandez has shone in the Bundesliga this term, scoring 10 goals in his 13 appearances, and is being linked with a rapid return to England.
Arsenal are said to prepared to pay a substantial fee to sign the 27 year-old, in order to bring in some competition for Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott.
The German side are readying themselves to turn down any advances, with the striker’s goals keeping the club in the chase for a European place for next season.
Leverkusen sit in seventh position in the German top tier, two points behind the sixth and final qualifying spot for Europe, and the former United forward has netted 10 of the club’s 23 league goals so far this term.
