Arsenal have received a welcome boost in their bid to sign Nolito from Celta Vigo, according to the Metro.
The Spain international has been linked with a switch in the coming window, with Barcelona and Arsenal heading a cue of potential suitors for the in-form goalscorer.
Reports are now emerging to claim that Celta Vigo are looking to see their current star move abroad, as opposed to strengthening a rival, leaving the Gunners as the new favourites to sign him.
Barcelona could still meet Nolito’s release clause however, which is believed to be £12.6 Million, although Celta are said to be trying to negotiate a higher release clause into a new contract at present.
The former Barcelona B forward joined from Benfica for just under £2 Million in 2013, and since become a full international for Spain, and is highly likely to make the squad for the upcoming Euro 2016 tournament this summer.
The 29 year-old is yet to participate in an international tournament, but would be unlucky not to make it to the upcoming one.
