Fichajes are quoted in the Metro as claiming that Arsenal are ready to splash out on the signature of Edinson Cavani.
The PSG forward is claimed to have been close to a move to North-London in the summer, before Arsenal refused to meet their asking price.
The Gunners are now said to be keen to reignite their interest in Cavani, and are ready to open their coffers to land his signature.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with his signature in previous windows, with reports only last month claiming the 28 year-old favoured a switch to West-London.
Arsenal are now looking to pile more misery on Chelsea, who are currently struggling down in 16th position in the Premier League, by upping their efforts to sign their target.
Cavani has scored nine goals in all competitions so far this season, whilst having had to share the central striker role with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but has proven his prowess in front of goal with former side Napoli, where he scored a huge 29 goals in 34 league matches in the 12-13 season.
