Champions League Betting preview: Value to be found including 60/1 shot

The San Siro will play host to the Champions League final this Saturday, with Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid set to battle it out for the trophy for the second time in three years.

Los Rojiblancos are a nicely priced 9/4 to win the match in 90 minutes, although I much prefer the 4/1 on an Atleti win to nil (with Betfred). If you are looking to have a bet this weekend, why not take advantage of a Betfred promo code, and get a free bet to be placed on one of the upcoming tournaments.

Atletico have already overcome both Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the competition, and will hold no fear going into the final. They have also maintained their strong defence, having only conceded two goals in their last 6 CL matches, which is some going considering their opponents.

This encounter will be a clash of playing styles, with Real dominating many matches and scoring an untold amount of goals, while their rivals concentrate on keeping tight at the back, and appear to have mastered the skill in keeping clean sheets.

The biggest obstacle for the outsiders could be trying not to relive the CL final of 2014. The Galacticos managed to come away with the trophy on that occasion, thanks to a last-minute equalising header to extend the game by a further 30, before running riot in extra-time to stomp pain into the hearts of their city rivals.

I can see this year’s final turning out differently however, as stated at the top of the page.

Antoine Griezmann is Atletico’s top goalscorer in both the league and the Champions League, and he remains a tidy 9/2 (5.5) to be the first name on the scoresheet in the match. Throw in a 2-0 win to make a scorecast and you can pick up a huge £610 off a £10 stake.
