Chelsea and Man United on alert with target Griezmann eyeing PL move

Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann is reported to have told his team-mates that he wants to move to the Premier League.

The Frenchman has been in setting La Liga alight since making the switch from Real Sociedad 19 months ago, scoring an impressive 34 league goals in only 58 appearances down the wing.

His showings have not gone unnoticed however, and a host of big clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been linked with his signature.

Atletico have already moved to sign the 24 year-old to a new deal in the summer, with a reported €80 Million release clause installed, but with interest refusing to die down, they are claimed to be looking to up that to €100 Million before the season is out.

That may not be possible if Griezmann looks to pursue a move to England however, with a new contract needed to be signed to increase his current minimum fee release clause, and the Atletico star apparently having told his club team-mates he wants a switch to the Premier League at the end of the season.
