Chelsea and Manchester United look set to battle it out for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, with both clubs having contacted his representatives, according to the Metro.
The Frenchman set the record for highest French goalscorer in a La Liga season last term, with 22 goals, one more than Karim Benzema had previously scored.
The winger has since been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, and Spanish reports now claim that England is where his future will lie.
Manchester United and Chelsea are both believed to be interested, with the latter said to be considering him as a potential replacement for Real Madrid target Eden Hazard.
The Belgian international has failed to live up the high standard he set for the Blues last season, and is believed to be high on Real’s wishlist, as they consider the sale of world superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Both United and Chelsea are said to have made contact with Griezmann’s representatives over a potential transfer.
