Chelsea are ready to buy Wesley Sneijder out of his Galatasaray contract, the DailyStar claims.
The Dutch midfielder has been linked with a reunion with former Holland manager Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United in recent windows, but could now be set to join up with his former boss of Inter Milan.
Jose Mourinho worked closely with the creative star in Italy, in a season where the duo were key in winning a European and domestic treble, including Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia triumphs.
The pair could now be set to team-up in West-London, as the Portuguese boss looks to steady his side’s rocky campaign so far this season.
Chelsea are said to be ready to pay £14 Million to activate a release clause in the 31 year-old’s contract, which could see him transfer to England in January.
Sneijder recently came out in the press to defend Mourinho, claiming he was the right manager for the job, despite his torrid start to the current season.
