Chelsea’s Diego Costa showed his dissatisfaction to being benched yesterday, having been left on the bench by Jose Mourinho, the DailyStar reports.
The Spain international was left out of the starting line-up in favour of playing Eden Hazard as their main forward against Tottenham Hotspur.
The game ended 0-0, and despite Diego Costa warming up on two occasions, he remained an unused substitute, and threw his bib at his manager in order to show his unhappiness.
The manager and striker also had words in midweek, when Mourinho claimed he was not analysing the game as he should, having failed to make a run into the box, as his side went onto win 4-0 away at Maccabi Tel Aviv
Costa has been reported to be of interest to Barcelona, who will be allowed to sign players in the coming window, having been banned from registering new players to their squad since the summer of 2014.
The Brazilian born star has only scored four goals in his 17 appearances so far this term.
