Chelsea are pursuing a deal to bring Jonathon Calleri to the Premier League this winter, the DailyStar claims.
The 22 year-old is highly rated in South America, and is expected to have a bright future in the game in the coming years.
Calleri has scored 23 goals in all competitions for Boca Juniors since joining from All Boys in July of last year.
Carlos Tevez has been paired with the youngster in attack since joining from Juventus this summer, and Calleri has scored seven goals to his seniors five since his arrival.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Stoke City and Inter Milan have all been linked with moves for the hotshot, but it is Chelsea who are believed to be leading the chase.
The Blues had scouts keep an eye on him this week when playing against Mexican side Puebla FC in a friendly, as they look to beef up their attack in the coming window.
Radamel Falcao, Diego Costa and Loic Remy have only returned a combined three league goals so far this season, as the club has failed to keep themselves within a shot of defending their Premier League title.
